Senior Finance Analyst – Independent grocery and Retailer brands


In this 9-month contract, you will partner closely with our Independent grocery and retailer brand sales teams to provide support in the provision of financial results, analysis and insights for all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet for Asahi Lifestyle Beverages (formerly Schweppes Australia).


Your impact


Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will partner closely with our Independent grocery and retailer brands sales teams in all matters relating to Financial Performance.

You will also influence key commercial decisions in line with Channel & Corporate Strategy and play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes.

You will provide financial governance, guidance and insights for customer negotiations, key drivers behind monthly financial results and ensure all Business Case modelling is structured in a financially sound format.


Other key responsibilities include


  • Work with the Independent grocery and retailer brand Business Managers to develop assumption based financial forecasts aligned to business strategy; facilitate the monthly sales forecast, Integrated Business Plans, and quarterly & annual budgets processes.
  • Explore, identify and coach sales teams in their understanding of the drivers of profitable growth and margin improvement
  • Leverage the efficiencies and learning between channels, states and customers in the management of net pricing, capital investment and sales overheads.
  • Develop reports to educate the Sales team to make key decisions and equip senior stakeholders with accurate knowledge to present to the wider business.
  • Champion the Finance Business Partner role in adhoc Commercial projects as the need may arise from time to time.
  • Proactively build strategic & analytical modelling to drive robust decision making
  • Be an active participant in the decision making process.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and business managers to build robust financial assumptions for new Retailer Brand tenders.


About you

  • Business partnering experience with sales teams in an FMCG environment
  • Proven experience providing financial analysis & support to non-finance teams
  • Excellent process improvement capability and an analytical mind
  • Demonstrated track record in driving change in a multi-faceted, commercially driven culture
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office and SAP desirable
