Asahi is seeking a senior finance professional with record of achievement in FMCG or retail to fill the newly created role of Senior Finance Analyst – Capital Planning, based in our Southbank office. You will support and enhance financial capital planning activities while managing multiple projects across the Asahi business, all while building productive and effective relationships across multiple levels.

 

Key responsibilities

 

• Drive discipline around capital planning and capital management, including budgeting, project forecasting and portfolio prioritisation / re-prioritisation
• Identify opportunities for new tools to be leveraged in order to facilitate improvements
• Conduct thorough analysis of key metrics related to projects within the capital planning envelope to provide insights on the health and performance of the pipeline
• Prepare Investment Review Board monthly reporting packs that provide insightful commentary, recommendations, and are action oriented
• Support the design and delivery of capital reporting
• Assist in driving business uptake of the new IRB Terms of Reference, associated disciplines and BI reports through training initiatives
• Support ongoing reviews of process effectiveness
• Take responsibility for the annual Capital Planning Mid-Term Planning process
• Develop strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders, both within and external to the organisation

 

About You

 

• At least three years’ experience in a capital planning finance role in a large corporate organisation / matrixed FMCG or retail business
• Experienced in the application of expert financial analysis that enables effective decision-making
• Outstanding stakeholder management, leadership and influencing skills across all levels
• Experienced in supporting the development of a strategic capital plan
• Problem-solving/solutions-focussed mindset with a well-developed ability to effectively manage competing priorities
• “Can do” attitude and a record of achievement in facilitating best in class financial performance
• Outstanding written, presentation and verbal skills including, report writing
• CA/CPA qualified
