Your Impact

Join our team as a Raw Materials Coordinator at our Abbotsford site and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless availability of raw materials to support manufacturing excellence. You will be the linchpin between suppliers and our production teams, ensuring materials arrive on time and in full to meet production demands. Your proactive approach and curious mindset will help drive efficiencies and enable the site to achieve its production goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials.

  • Manage and place purchase orders for raw materials and consumables to align with production schedules.

  • Monitor and escalate potential supply risks, proposing practical solutions to mitigate disruptions.

  • Conduct weekly cycle counts of raw materials and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including the Site Scheduler, Procurement, and Portfolio Planning, to support production plans and new product launches.

  • Minimize material obsolescence and manage transitions to ensure zero write-offs.

  • Use SAP and other MRP systems to maintain accurate ordering and inventory records.

  • Lead supplier meetings to communicate changes and enhance material availability.

 

About You

This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are seeking someone who thrives on problem solving and takes initiative while maintaining a collaborative approach.

You will bring:

  • 3 years in a similar planning role, ideally within FMCG or a comparable fast-paced industry.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn, coupled with a big-picture perspective.

  • The ability to make decisive decisions and take initiative, with a willingness to think outside the box.

  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in SAP, MRP systems, and Excel highly regarded.
