Seize the opportunity to shape the Asahi Quality strategy by joining us as our Quality Manager at Huntingwood. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring our business outputs are achieved swiftly and effectively, setting the standard for excellence in a fast-paced environment.

This role focuses on championing the quality and food safety agenda at the site. You will ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company requirements while spearheading GMP, Quality systems, and sanitation programs. Your decisive and fast-acting approach will drive our quality initiatives forward whilst maintaining the operational efficiencies of the site.

 

Please note: This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the site Quality team to deliver on performance, compliance, and continuous improvement goals

  • Manage food safety and quality systems (e.g. GMP, HACCP, ISO9001) to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance

  • Oversee non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

  • Drive site quality improvement programs aligned with national strategy

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of actions

  • Support vendor assurance and product testing programs in collaboration with site and national teams

 

About You

You’re a proactive and decisive leader with a strong technical foundation in quality and food safety. You have the ability to influence teams, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll also bring:

  • A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline

  • Proven experience in Quality Management within an FMCG manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and relevant legislation

  • Deep knowledge of Quality Systems and Food Safety programs
  • Familiarity with GFSI standards 

  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and engage teams

  • Well-developed problem-solving, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • A keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset
