You Impact
As Category Planning & Execution Manager at Asahi Beverages, you’ll play a critical role in bringing our commercial plans to life. You’ll support the development, delivery, and optimisation of category and channel strategies, ensuring alignment with joint value creation (JVC) objectives and budget targets.
Working cross-functionally, you’ll drive the execution of activation initiatives through the IBP process, ensuring they align with Joint Business Plan (JBP) priorities and timelines. This role is key to ensuring seamless integration between Sales, Category Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning, and CS&L, delivering results through strong collaboration, commercial acumen, and effective resource management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and Deliver Category Plans
Support activation planning by category, aligned to commercial goals and financial targets.
- Track Performance and Identify Gaps
Monitor category performance vs plan, identifying risks and opportunities by customer/channel.
- Support Commercial Calendar and Forecasting
Assist in building commercial calendars and financial forecasts across categories.
- Enable Strategic Initiatives
Support Perfect Store, Revenue Growth, and NPD projects with relevant category and customer input.
- Drive Execution in Market
Deliver go-to-market tactics with excellence, adapting to changing market dynamics.
- Collaborate on 5P and NPD Planning
Work with Sales and Category Marketing to optimise 5P strategies and activate NPD plans.
- Track and Optimise Promotions
Monitor pricing and promotional strategy across channels, recommending in-flight adjustments.
- Review and Improve Activation Impact
Conduct post-analysis of activations and NPD to inform future execution and planning.
About you
- Background in FMCG within Sales, Marketing or a broader Commercial function
- Skilled at building strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Experience across On the Go and/or On Premise channels is highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen with a results-focused mindset
- Confident using shopper insights and analytics to develop actionable plans
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills
- Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation capability
- Knowledge of the beverage industry (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic) is a plus
