Asahi offers an exciting opportunity for a Microsoft 365 Collaboration Engineer to take responsibility for managing and optimising our Microsoft 365 and Cisco collaboration platforms across multiple sites, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration for teams. You will partner with cross-functional business units to develop, implement, and enhance critical collaboration processes while providing technical support, consultancy, and training to local teams. A key part of your role will involve monitoring system performance, ensuring compliance with security standards, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. In addition, you'll be responsible for operational reporting, maintaining system documentation, and conducting regular health checks and audits to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

 

Key responsibilities

 

In this key role as the Microsoft 365 Collaboration Engineer, you’ll lead the operational support and optimisation of Microsoft 365 and Cisco collaboration platforms across Asahi's sites. You will engage with stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and enhancement of our digital collaboration tools. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of Microsoft 365 services, Teams Rooms, and Cisco MTR systems.
  • Leading initiatives to improve user experience, system performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Providing technical leadership and support for collaboration tools while ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
  • Driving the adoption of collaboration technologies and fostering a customer-oriented approach within the business.
  • Ensuring all operational, regulatory, and service-level requirements are consistently met across sites.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you'll have demonstrated experience in managing and optimising collaboration tools, ideally within a large-scale enterprise or technology-driven environment. You will have a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels, driving the adoption and efficiency of collaboration platforms. You'll also bring:

 

  • A minimum of three years' experience in managing Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) and collaboration tools such as Cisco Webex and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Hands-on experience in the administration of Microsoft Intune, including application packaging and device management.
  • A strong technical background in building Autopilot images for Windows 11 and managing Teams Room systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead and support cross-functional teams without direct line authority.
  • A deep understanding of security, compliance, and operational best practices related to collaboration technologies.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
