Your Impact

As the Corporate Counsel at Asahi Beverages, your role is pivotal in ensuring that the commercial operations run smoothly and enabling compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

You will actively support the Marketing and Innovation teams by offering legal expertise, reviewing marketing materials, negotiating agreements, and providing strategic guidance on various legal aspects related to marketing initiatives and new product development. You will also provide some support to the Sales teams in drafting sales agreements. Additionally, as part of the broader Asahi Beverages Legal team, your role involves promoting and upholding Asahi Beverages’ commitment to compliance and ethical standards.

Your contribution will be instrumental in maintaining legal integrity and fostering a compliant and ethical environment within Asahi Beverages. This exceptional opportunity presents a platform for you to showcase your strong communication skills and analytical capability. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise (particularly in the area of consumer & competition law, and intellectual property), commercial acumen and stakeholder management skillset. About the Role

Your key responsibilities include providing timely and strategic legal guidance to our Marketing and Sales Commercial teams, with a focus on enhancing decision-making processes.

  • Reviewing and approving all marketing and advertising collateral prepared by the Marketing and Innovation teams.
  • Providing advice with respect to intellectual property considerations as they relate to new product developments and marketing collateral.
  • Drafting sales and sponsorship agreements
  • Provide impartial and objective recommendations to enable effective and focused decision-making.
  • Design and deliver training to members of the Sales and Marketing Team on legal issues of relevance.
  • Maintain awareness of, and provide advice on, relevant legal or regulatory developments.
  • Providing advice in relation to ongoing compliance matters for Asahi Beverages, monitoring regulatory changes and advising and educating the business accordingly

 

About You

  • 3-4 PQE at a reputable law firm or equivalent in-house experience and a valid Australian practising certificate.
  • Commercial acumen and straight forward pragmatic approach
  • Commercial contracts experience.
  • Intellectual property experience.
  • Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
