Your Impact

 

As the Desktop Virtualisation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and modernising our Citrix environments. You’ll work very closely with both onshore and offshore teams, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across our platforms. This hands-on role requires you to develop strategic roadmaps for desktop virtualisation initiatives, manage the consolidation of legacy environments, and drive the transition to modern platforms like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the support, monitoring, maintenance, and patching of multiple Citrix environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with high-performing onshore and offshore teams, delivering in line with our SLAs and driving continuous improvement.
  • Create and execute a strategic roadmap for desktop virtualisation, aligning with business objectives and future demands.
  • Collaborate with project teams to manage technical change requests, mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery of technical solutions.
  • Work closely with key technology partners and vendors to ensure adherence to roadmaps and standards, driving operational excellence.
  • Provide governance oversight, ensuring all platforms are secure, resilient, and compliant with industry best practices and JSOX requirements.

 

About You

  • 4-5 years of extensive experience with Citrix in an Azure environment, including strategic roadmap development and execution.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with high-performing teams, particularly in a split onshore/offshore model.
  • In-depth knowledge of desktop virtualisation platforms, with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and Azure networking services.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a consultative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments, collaborating effectively with technical teams and product owners.
  • Citrix certifications and Azure Virtual Desktop and/or Windows 365 certification is preferred.
