Are you ready to lead and drive operational excellence? We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our team at Heathwood. This role plays a key part in executing daily operations across our Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Environment, and Motivation pillars, ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our customers.

As the Operations Coordinator, you will lead and manage shop floor teams while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for optimising warehouse throughput, ensuring efficiency in labour planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity for a strong communicator and problem solver to make a real impact in a fast-paced supply chain environment.


Please note: This role is on the Afternoon Shift from 2pm - 10pm. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct root-cause analysis of quality issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.
  • Manage product withdrawals and recalls, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Oversee labour costs including overtime management, tracking key cost metrics, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
  • Optimise warehouse throughput and productivity, ensuring seamless coordination of stock movements and inventory management.
  • Work closely with the Inventory Lead to manage stock levels, including pallets and kegs.
  • Monitor and drive KPIs to enhance efficiency and service levels.
  • Lead, mentor, and engage your team, ensuring performance reviews, talent development, and succession planning are conducted effectively.
  • Champion a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and food quality regulations.

 

About You

You are a motivated and experienced operations professional with a strong background in warehousing and supply chain management. You thrive in a leadership role and have a passion for coaching teams, driving process improvements, and optimising operational efficiencies. You bring:

  • Experience in a similar role within FMCG or similar industry.
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing teams and conducting performance reviews.
  • A track record of driving cost efficiencies and process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a structured approach to continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and stakeholders.
  • SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency beneficial.
  • Safety driven with knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO certification requirements.
