This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse or logistics professional to step into a leadership role within our team at Albury.

As a Distribution Team Leader, you will play a critical role in leading a high-performing team to deliver operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for driving performance, fostering a culture of safety, and supporting the development of your team while ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely movement of products throughout the warehouse.

 

Please note: This is a Night Shift position with hours being from 10pm - 6am.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to a team of Distribution Employees across nightshift operations
• Be accountable for team performance, ensuring KPIs and operational targets are consistently met
• Plan labour requirements effectively and allocate tasks accordingly
• Identify skill gaps within the team and provide ongoing coaching and development
• Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety
• Lead investigations and implement solutions to resolve operational issues
• Conduct safety walks and champion a proactive safety culture
• Support the development of SOPs and work instructions in collaboration with management
• Maintain a high level of accuracy across warehouse inventory processes

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, including competency in all L3-level responsibilities
• Proven leadership capability with the ability to motivate and support team members
• A demonstrated commitment to health and safety, with a proactive approach to hazard identification and resolution
• Strong planning and organisational skills to manage labour and workflow effectively
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback
• Experience leading continuous improvement projects or safety initiatives
• Understanding of warehouse inventory systems and processes
• Capability to create and implement Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
