We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Scientist to join our innovative Data Science team, to lead our AI/ML initiatives. You will lead the B2B SAP Hybris Portal Squad in the development of best-in-class recommendation engines leveraging customer personalisation. You will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models at scale, using Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML) and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) best practices.
Your expertise will be key to developing scalable AI and ML solutions that address real-world challenges, and your ability to collaborate within a dynamic environment will be essential to success. About the Role
- Engage with stakeholders to fully understand business challenges and identify opportunities where AI/ML can deliver measurable impact
- Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive, end-to-end AI/ML models on Azure ML to solve commercial challenges.
- Engage throughout the entire ML lifecycle, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter optimisation, validation, deployment, and continuous monitoring.
- Contribute to the development of efficient and reusable ML workflows and pipelines, incorporating best practices for automated feature engineering, model retraining, and performance tracking.
- Partner with data and software engineers to seamlessly integrate feature stores, scalable data processing pipelines, and model-serving frameworks into production systems.
- Effectively communicate complex technical insights to both technical team members and non-technical stakeholders, to drive informed decisions
About You
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics or related field
- Proven hands-on experience in data science and ML/AI model development, deployment and operations.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with other languages (e.g., R) highly regarded.
- Strong experience in Azure ML including pipelines and Data Factory, an solid MLOps knowledge
- Solid knowledge of feature engineering, model evaluation and performance tracking.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience in recommendation systems, time series forecasting, or geospatial analytics highly regarded
