About the Position

We have a great opportunity for a Shift Production Manager to lead our team on the day shift (6 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday to Friday) at our Huntingwood site. Our Huntingwood site is Asahi's second largest Australian site in terms of volume and it is at the forefront of capital investment and change. We are currently implementing state of the art manufacturing equipment and principles on site. This is an operations focused role, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. In this position, you will coach and drive an engaged and high performing team across a number of production lines to meet established supply chain objectives. You will also be hands on when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the production team, focusing on the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to achieve greater plant performance
  • Develop training plans and coach team members in conjunction with the Manufacturing Supervisors
  • Lead the quality agenda within the production team
  • Drive waste miminisation within the production processes
  • Drive compliance to meet regulatory, customer and company requirements through internal and external auditing processes
  • Enhance people engagement and culture
  • Drive and achieve asset care and reliability plans

About You

  • Demonstrated results leading a high performing team in a lean manufacturing FMCG environment
  • Tertiary qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in asset care and maintenance
  • A strong desire for career development
  • Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP and ISO certification
  • Experience and achievements with continuous improvement methodologies
  • SAP and Microsoft Office proficient
