Join Asahi Beverages as our Venture Project Manager and drive the future of innovation!

We are seeking a dynamic Venture Project Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the successful initiation, planning, and launching of new ventures within the Asahi Disruption team. This role offers a unique opportunity to orchestrate the chaos of early-stage ventures and foster an environment where innovation thrives.

The role involves managing a small, but growing group of early-stage ventures that have been through market validation testing. This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation within one of Australia & New Zealand's largest beverage companies.

This position will be offered on a fixed-term contract basis spanning approx. 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements, define resourcing needs, and develop comprehensive project plans tailored to each venture's unique needs. Lead project ceremonies, oversee artifact maintenance, and ensure transparency in team progress.
  • Develop optimal strategies for scoping, delivery methodology, and resource management to ensure ventures are launched to market punctually and within budget, while also proactively identifying and communicating potential pivots in advance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, mentor team members, and foster open communication to ensure alignment and success.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, proactively monitor challenges, and collaborate to resolve issues hindering progress.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and future financial planning.
  • Establish and implement quality control measures, define quality trade-offs, and conduct regular reviews to assess project progress.
  • Establish portfolio governance, ensure compliance with organisational standards, and support strategic portfolio goals.

About You:

As a successful candidate for this role, you will possess:

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in dynamic environments, with a track record of success in early-stage ventures or scale-ups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using project management tools, coupled with strong relationship management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor project strategies to the unique needs of each venture, acknowledging that a one-size-fits-all approach is not effective.
  • Proven capability to synthesize venture traction into easily understandable formats for key stakeholders and the Disruption Ventures Board.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and budget management.
  • Strong communication, empathy, problem-solving, and managing ambiguity are the skills, essential for navigating the dynamic nature of early-stage ventures.
  • Previous experience in startup or fast-paced environments is highly desirable, showcasing an ability to thrive in rapidly changing circumstances.

If you're ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of early-stage ventures, we want to hear from you! Apply now to join us as our Venture Project Manager and be part of the team driving disruption and innovation within Asahi Beverages.
