Your Impact

As the Group Head of Data & Analytics, you'll be at the forefront of harnessing the potential of data to drive business success.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Data & Analytics team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Provide analytics leadership to drive the optimisation of data collection systems, clean and analyse large datasets, and create actionable insights through visualisation and analysis.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive Data & Analytics strategy and roadmap.
  • Be a strategic partner to business leaders and vendors, ensuring alignment and effective communication of strategies and roadmaps.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for business units, guiding them in utilising data and analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Championing collaboration and knowledge-sharing across business units to maximise insights and capabilities.
  • Managing pipeline and roadmap initiatives, ensuring transparent communication on progress and outcomes.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline and enhance our data and analytics environments.
  • Providing governance oversight and setting standards for all data products and tools used within the function.
  • Contributing to the development and refinement of architectural standards and the Enterprise Architecture roadmap.

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will have:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of proven leadership experience in data analysis, specialising in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation techniques.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading a Data and Analytics function.
  • Proficiency in understanding programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, coupled with experience in data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, adept at working with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating intricate data insights into understandable and actionable recommendations.
  • Extensive experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, relationship building and engaging with stakeholders from diverse business units.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vendor management and establishing strategic alliances.
  • Preferably, prior experience working within the FMCG industry.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and processing.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, strategic agility, interpersonal savvy, and influencing skills.
  • Extensive external network and contacts.
  • Possesses a lateral thinking mindset, capable of understanding and visualising the bigger picture, capable to challenge the norm in the best interests of the company.
