About the Position

We have a great opportunity for two Manufacturing Supervisors (Night Shift - 6.00am to 6.00pm) to join us in a permanent capacity during a period of technological innovation and advanced automation in manufacturing at our Huntingwood site.

We are currently in the process of implementing a new water line and we are searching for Supervisors who can coordinate and drive optimisation of automated end to end production processes. You will have an advanced ability to problem solve using predictive analytics and be able to pre-empt and intervene when equipment calls for action, including asset care and maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Works with the Project team and Senior Huntingwood stakeholders to establish and document systems and processes to drive a high performing autonomous team
  • Develop and coach a high performing team based on autonomous team principles and practices
  • Manage educates, coach, and guide team members to ensure that they have the ability to deliver results and achieve the line delivery objectives and budget
  • Ensure the execution of the production plan
  • Operate machinery to maintain the continuous operations of the line
  • Establish crewing and performance development practices for shift resources in accordance with HR policies and procedures
  • Ensures Operator practices are compliant with safety standards and statutory requirements
  • Proactively question and challenge process activities and actively identify opportunities and suggestions to improve existing processes
  • Drives continuous improvement through Small Group Activities to eliminate the 5 wastes
  • Make and facilitate decisions using data including use of downtime systems for line optimisation
  • Accountable for the quality of product / process within assigned work areas and acts appropriately to rectify issues as identified



About You

You will have a mechatronics background which will combine qualifications and skills including electrical, mechanical engineering electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, systems engineering and control engineering. As technology advances, the subfields of engineering multiply and adapt.  This requires a deep understanding of performance analysis and design of complex equipment including robotics. 


  • Mechanical or Electrical trades qualification or Science or Engineering degree qualified
  • Certificate 4 in Competitive Manufacturing, Frontline leadership or Warehouse Management preferred
  • Lean manufacturing industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing a high performing team
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to determine the correct courses of action in the absence of direction
  • Working in a high pressure environment with set operational targets
  • Training and coaching expertise
  • SOP development
