We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor within our team at Papakura. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations, focusing on key areas such as Quality, Cost Efficiency, Delivery, Safety, and Employee Motivation. Your leadership and problem-solving abilities will be essential in managing teams, optimizing production processes, and driving continuous improvement. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead within a dynamic environment where reliability and teamwork are key to achieving operational excellence and delivering high-quality products.

 

Please note: This role involves working 8-hour shifts on a rotating schedule of both day and night shifts.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that production requirements are met according to the published plan by optimizing performance and processes, while maintaining a reliable and consistent approach.
  • Lead and manage your team with a focus on fostering a collaborative environment. Conduct performance reviews, develop team members, and manage talent to cultivate a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure product and process integrity by completing process checks, managing raw material inventory, and adhering to GMP and HACCP standards.
  • Control labor costs and manage overtime to stay within budget, while driving cost-saving initiatives related to performance.
  • Promote a safe workplace, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and support continuous improvement of environmental management systems.

 

About You

 

You are a proactive, reliable, and results-oriented individual with a solid background in Manufacturing or Production. Whether you have previous experience in a similar supervisory role or are looking to take the next step in your career, your ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and work efficiently under pressure makes you an ideal candidate. Additionally, you bring:

 

  • A consistent and dependable approach to managing daily operations and leading your team.
  • The ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven experience in guiding teams to success, particularly in high-pressure environments.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with others to achieve common goals.
  • The ability to thrive and maintain composure in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office highly regarded.
