Key Accountabilities
- Lead Strategy Development: Build and execute customer strategies across Key Independent Retail, informed by deep market, shopper and competitor insights.
- Own the P&L: Full end-to-end accountability for channel performance, including volume, share, trade investment, mix and revenue growth.
- Drive Joint Business Planning: Lead strategic negotiation and implementation of customer JBPs that align to Asahi’s growth agenda and deliver mutual value.
- Elevate Execution: Ensure retail channel plans are seamlessly executed through national and state teams, with a clear link from strategy to store.
- Deliver Transformational Growth: Champion major change initiatives to elevate channel performance and customer engagement.
- Develop Top Talent: Build a high-performance sales culture through leadership, coaching, and capability development across your team.
About You
- Proven senior sales leadership experience, ideally within FMCG or liquor, with a strong track record in managing complex national retail accounts.
- Demonstrated success leading a P&L of significant size—experience with $500M+ portfolios is highly regarded.
- Understanding of the independent retail environment, with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience developing and executing strategy across multiple brands, categories, and customers.
- A natural people leader with a passion for coaching, performance culture, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced commercial landscape.
