Your Impact

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring every dollar hits the right place, on time. You will deliver accurate and timely payroll to employees across the business while also ensuring compliance with policies, industrial agreements and legislative requirements. Your work helps keep our systems running smoothly and our people supported.

This is a 6-month fixed term opportunity ideal for someone who’s confident stepping into a busy environment and can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll including new starters, terminations, variations, and complex calculations.
• Ensure accurate payments in line with Awards, complex Enterprise Agreements and individual contracts.
• Manage monthly and year-end processes, including reporting, reconciliations and compliance tasks.
• Respond to employee and third-party queries with care, clarity and urgency.
• Support payroll-related reporting across Finance, HR and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and service optimisation projects.
• Assist with EFT file generation, payslip distribution and audit checks as needed.
• Maintain high data integrity while navigating system transitions and service periods.

About You:

• You bring 3+ years of payroll experience in a medium-to-large business environment.
• You are confident with payroll systems and have a solid grasp of Awards, leave policies and compliance.
• Solid working knowledge of ADP or Chris21 is strongly preferred.
• You pride yourself on accuracy, discretion and getting the details right under pressure.
• You’re proactive, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities with calm efficiency.
• Strong communicator — whether resolving queries or working with stakeholders across Finance, HR or third parties.
• You are team-oriented but also comfortable owning your responsibilities end-to-end.
