Your Impact
The District Sales Manager is a key leadership position, focusing on management and coaching of the national On-Premise field teams, and accountable for overseeing sales and commercial activity within the channel. It is accountable for the execution of channel strategies within NZ and new business sales plans.
Full Time, Fixed term opportunity for 6 months
Regular monthly travel between North & South Island is required.
You will support in driving the personal and professional development of team members, including commercial and technical product knowledge, industry knowledge, as well as Asahi strategies, tools and practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high performing and successful sales team throughout New Zealand.
- Support the team to negotiate sales agreements, execute promotional plans, new product ranging and other commercial initiatives.
- Identify local market opportunities to build sales and profitability.
- Achieve national budgeted sales and distribution targets.
- Create engagement and build capability across the full sales team.
About you
We are looking for someone with strong commercial ability, knows how to deal with complex negotiations and has a desire to lead and develop a high performing sales team as well as building relationships with key On Premise operators throughout New Zealand.
- Exceptional leadership/management experience within a senior sales position
- Experienced sales professional within the liquor industry or the On-Premise channel
- Confident and passionate about exploring new business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with customers, to close out sales and contractual arrangements.
- Excellent ability to solve complex issues, and plan & prioritise accordingly.
