Your Impact

Reporting to the Senior Packaging Manager, the Packaging Technologist will play a key role in supporting the delivery of multiple Packaging NPD (New Product Development) and Value Optimisation (VO) initiatives. This role is responsible for leading discreet projects within the overall packaging portfolio while optimising and troubleshooting online packaging capability and processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Procurement, and Commercial, to ensure successful project execution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage packaging NPD and VO projects, including trial proposals, approvals, and execution.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, and Procurement teams to drive packaging improvements and sustainability initiatives.
• Lead packaging trials, from sample coordination to post-trial analysis and commercial scale-up.
• Optimise packaging processes and troubleshoot material or operational challenges.
• Maintain and update packaging material standards, databases, and compliance documentation.
• Track and report on VO initiatives, cost savings, and continuous improvement efforts.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in packaging development and manufacturing. You thrive in fast-paced environments, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and can build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred).
• Experience in Manufacturing or FMCG, particularly in packaging development and production line processing.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and sustainability initiatives.
• Ability to analyse data, interpret trial results, and present findings effectively.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant packaging/production systems.
• A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
