Your Impact

As the EHS Manager, you’ll champion safety and sustainability at our busy Tullamarine manufacturing site.

Reporting to the Senior EHS Manager (Vic/Tas), you’ll ensure the implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as drive programs that improve workplace safety and compliance.

Your role will be pivotal in creating a safe and efficient work environment for a 350-strong workforce operating in a dynamic 24/6 shift structure.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development of local EHS procedures and the implementation of national EHS requirements
  • Drive EHS incident and risk management processes through coaching and support to ensure timely reporting, recording, investigation, closing of corrective actions and sharing of learnings within business
  • Implement and monitor the national safety and wellbeing programs
  • Oversee compliance with EHS standards (AS45001, ISO14001) and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Conduct internal and external audits, supporting the site to implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with site leadership and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth operations and effective issue resolution
  • Deliver training programs to build safety awareness and drive cultural change within the workforce
  • Act as the point of contact for day-to-day safety and compliance matters, including managing operational challenges and injury management.

 

About You

You’re a proactive and confident EHS professional who thrives in fast-paced environments.

You bring strong relationship management skills, resilience, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and operational landscapes.

  • Formal qualifications in Health and Safety (Diploma or higher preferred).
  • Proven experience in EHS roles within medium to large organizations, ideally in FMCG or construction.
  • Expertise in compliance and safety management systems, including AS45001 and ISO14001.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, change management, and organizational agility.
  • Experience with return to work and injury management
