Your Impact

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will be responsible for the management of the integrated quality systems including the food safety systems implementation and optimisation. You will also manage the continuous improvement of the quality systems within the manufacturing processes to promote the effectiveness of total quality management.

Please note: This is a fixed-term opportunity for a period of 12 months.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Quality & Food Safety based Systems - FSSC, GMP, HACCP, PRPs, and other third-party Standards
  • Manage and lead relevant external audit programs including documentation management and production records
  • Conduct relevant internal audits and delegates and facilitate gap closure with key stakeholders, driving corrective action implementation.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement of quality assurance/control processes within manufacturing
  • Participate or lead manufacturing quality problems solving activities
  • Facilitate quality systems and improvement workshops as required
  • Improve organisation effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to enhance productivity and drive a quality culture
  • Advise on Nationally developed procedures and support Quality centralization initiatives

 

About You

Your resume will clearly demonstrate proven experience in Quality roles within a FMCG manufacturing environment and highlight your technical expertise on Quality Systems and Process Continuous Improvement. In addition, you will possess:

  • Bachelor’s in Management, Food Technology, Science, Engineering or related discipline together with qualifications in CI Systems (eg. Lean / Six Sigma)
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Quality, Production or Continuous Improvement positions in an FMCG Manufacturing environment
  • An intimate knowledge of GFSI standards and HACCP principles, together with GMP and SOPs.
  • Proven understanding of manufacturing change management and performance improvement
  • Demonstrated solid achievements in using Project Management tools including MS Project and more broadly Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated achievements in CI, using lean, Six Sigma, TOC or TQM
  • Strong problem solving and facilitation skills
  • The ability to develop and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders together with a self-managed and focused approach
