Asahi Beverages is currently on the lookout for a full-time Operations Manager – Third Party Distribution Centre to act as a pivotal figure in our logistics operations. This role will primarily be based at our third-party distribution provider's site in Auckland, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of efficiency and quality in our supply chain.

In this position, you will be the key onsite conduit for all daily operational activities, responsible for the adherence to our standards and the achievement of key performance indicators. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage compliance activities, and ensure the seamless delivery of our products to our valued customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing end-to-end warehousing and transportation operations, ensuring adherence to agreed processes and KPI targets.
  • Championing quality standards and managing compliance activities with HACCP, ISO9001, and GMP requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  • Acting as the primary contact for all communication and coordination between ABNZ, TBDC, and Auckland 3PDCs.
  • Leading and developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting root-cause analysis of quality failures and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance, driving efficiency gains, and ensuring exceptional customer experience.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a self-driven, self-starter with a strong balance of experience in both Warehousing and Transport. You will have the ability to influence and negotiate effectively, build strong relationships, and identify and implement improvement opportunities.

You'll be a great fit for the role if you also possess the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement change initiatives to improve productivity and drive a performance culture.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
