Your Impact

The Finance Services Manager sits within Asahi’s Regional Hub and is responsible for supporting a major project within Finance Services team as it relates to all business entities, including CUB Premium Beverages, Asahi NZ, CUB and Asahi Lifestyle Beverages.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Areas of responsibility include – general accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations, project accounting, banking, taxation, financial data quality, financial analysis, and financial reporting
  • Responsible for actively supporting the Finances Services team and key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of project outcomes with minimal disruption to BAU activities
  • Support the implementation and compliance to all required accounting policies and controls, drive process standardization across business entities as they pertain to the project
  • Work closely with the project team to coordinate Finance Services involvement and report on progress/issues to the Senior Manager – Finance and Procurement Services
  • Work closely with on-shore and off-shore teams to support the project in terms of problem solving, data gathering/analysis, reconciliations, and testing.  This may include reconciliations and analysis for other internal teams to assist in delivery of outcomes
  • Ensure any changes to operational processes are correctly documented and maintained in a knowledge base to maximise team effectiveness

 

About You

Tertiary qualified in finance or accounting, you will have solid experience within a Financial Services organisation and proven experience applying a continuous improvement framework (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean).

To be successful in this role, you will be a leader with a passion for excellence and ensuring the efficient use of process, people and technology are enablers of business performance

In addition, you will have;

 

  • Demonstrated experience, understanding and application of relevant financial controls frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business outcomes via 3rd party Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partnerships
  • Experience with SAP (required), MS Dynamics ERP (preferred) and HFM (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
