Your Impact

As a Brewery Technician – Machine Specialist with Asahi Beverages in our Yatala facility, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment within a designated area to ensure that business targets are met with regards to: Machine efficiency, product quality, maintenance costs and process losses. The Machine Specialist is an integral part of our packaging team and supports the line teams through the provision of specialist skills and the development and implementation of good maintenance practices.

 

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Performing specialist maintenance tasks within your area including detailed set-up and tuning of machinery
  • Assisting with the timely resolution of machinery issues or breakdowns
  • Have an overall understanding of the machinery in your area including the operation and functionality, preparation for production, machine start-up and shutdown and pack and brand changing
  • Performing autonomous maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, inspections, repairs and adjustments
  • Spare parts management including identification of the necessary spare parts for your machinery and working with the maintenance planner to ensure correct set up and condition
  • Assisting with the development of maintenance schedules for the machinery and constantly reviewing these to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitoring trends on designated machinery and initiating corrective actions where appropriate
  • Providing training and coaching on maintenance activities to the operators and technicians
  • Ensuring machines are properly cleaned after maintenance and all tools and debris are removed


About You

  • You hold a degree in engineering or a mechanical trade qualification
  • You possess prior experience within the industry and a have a strong knowledge of machinery
  • Can line experience, specifically filler and seamer maintenance exposure will be highly regarded,
  • You can remain level headed and think clearly under pressure
  • You have some leadership exposure with the ability to coach/develop others
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and coordinate both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated computer skills and familiar with Maintenance Management Systems
  • You possess excellent trouble shooting skills and the ability to use your initiative to solve problems
  • You have a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives
