Your Impact


This newly created role will work across Asahi’s business divisions (ie Carlton & United Breweries, Asahi Lifestyle Beverages and Asahi Beverages New Zealand) and group functions to create a sustained change in how we use data and insights to drive better business decisions and overall company performance.


This role will see you provide macro consumer, product and market insights to guide our annual commercial planning process and innovation priorities across all horizons, drive collaboration on data/insights across Asahi’s business divisions and work cross-functionally to transform how we source data/insights translate data into decisions.


We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual who can proactively create sustained change in our insights capability across our business.



Key Responsibilities


  • Refine and own the Asahi Beverages group insights strategy – a vision to create sustained change in our capability to use data/insights to make better business decisions
  • Establish tools, systems, and processes to drive greater collaboration between Asahi’s business divisions (including implementing and supporting common frameworks to leverage our scale) and chair and manage the relevant forums
  • Partner with and provide challenge to business divisions insights teams to ensure ways of working in line with group insights strategy
  • Generate macro-level consumer insights to inform annual integrated commercial planning cycle and core business innovation and venture pipelines – actively driving recommendations for future growth/revenue opportunities
  • Manage budget, spend, service delivery and relationships for insights providers who are used across 2 or more business divisions
  • Work with Asahi’s business divisions and support group functions who own and access data analytics to drive initiatives to transform our insights capability group wide


About You


  • Tertiary Qualified
  • More than 10+ years broad experience 
  • Proven background in an Insights role within a large scale, matrixed FMCG organization or similar industry
  • Strong working knowledge of FMCG or Beverage Industry, preferably at a business division and zone/regional/global level
  • Extensive experience generating, interpreting and providing qualitative and quantitative data and insights – both macro and local
  • Strong working knowledge of data analytics preferred
  • Highly collaborative and experienced managing different stakeholder groups – able to engage business division teams to understand needs and identify support, frameworks and initiatives to elevate their insights capability
  • Exceptional report writing and presentational skills
