About the Role

The Sales Capability Lead will be responsible for improving capability of the sales force through designing, implementing and delivering product, systems and selling skills training programs that are aligned to the organisations sales and marketing objectives. The Sales Capability Lead will work closely with cross functional teams to deliver on the strategic and business priorities relating to the Sales Force.


Your responsibilities will be broad and will also include:

  • Developing, implementing and evaluating product, systems, and selling skills training programs aligned to marketing and sales strategies.
  • Developing and implementing clear metrics to assess effectiveness of sales training programs.
  • Reviewing and evaluating all training interventions and materials, in order to continuously improve the effectiveness of sales training programs and adhere to compliance requirements.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with sales, marketing, and category teams to ensure product, systems, and selling skills training requirements at national sales meetings and other key cycle meetings are delivered.
  • Building relationships with internal key stakeholders involved with the delivery of the sales training plan, as well as global internal stakeholders to leverage global programs and tools.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure systems are aligned to sales training objectives as well as incorporating any updates to the system in training communications and interventions.
  • Engaging with external partners for training needs.
  • Managing the Capability budget in line with priority business needs.
  • Maintaining the Sales Coaching Systems to support Sales Managers.
  • In collaboration with HR, developing and delivering key coaching and leadership programs



About You

You will partner with an ambitious, savvy sales team and other key stakeholders within our business including the NZ Leadership team, so your role is not to change the status quo but to help take our already successful business to the next level.


To be successful in this role we are looking for the following:

  • A Tertiary degree in business or education (desirable but not essential).
  • Extensive experience in sales and/or training.
  • A background in marketing and/or sales management preferred.
  • Training and Assessment Qualifications or a sound understanding of adult learning methodologies and facilitation.
  • DiSC Accredited Trainer (desirable but not essential).
  • Instructional Design (desirable but not essential).
  • Project and organisational change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen to engage stakeholders.
