Your Impact

Reporting to the Liquid Development Manager, the Senior Product Development Specialist will lead liquid development projects. You will drive, NPD, innovation and liquid optimisation, delivering consumer-preferred, cost-competitive products. Collaborating with Marketing and Supply Chain, you’ll manage multiple projects, ensuring high-quality execution to commercial timelines.

 

Please note this is a 12-month contract opportunity. 

 

Beyond new product development, you’ll play a critical role in refining existing formulations, resolving production challenges, and leading cost and quality improvement initiatives, directly contributing to the success and growth of Asahi Beverages.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and continuous improvement of HSE management systems.
  • Develop new liquids to a liquid development brief and manage tasting with key stakeholders, and to align to desired taste profile.
  • Plan, manage and execute all aspects of beverage development through the Stage and Gate process, including: development, commercialisation and implementation to production sites.
  • Manage all technical data and ensure compliance to legislation and ensure all products meets Asahi Quality requirements.
  • Engage with a diverse stakeholder group across the business to implement projects.
  • Provide technical leadership through your technical beverage formulation knowledge.
  • Engage across the wider industry to stay up to date with technical advancements and industry trends.

 

 

About You:

Vast experience in an NPD role, successfully delivering multiple projects to market. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will engage and manage stakeholders across the innovation, commercial, and production teams. You will be confident in leading projects to develop scalable and sustainable beverages.

 

In addition, you will have:

  • Experienced in NPD liquid laboratory environment and working with flavours, ingredients and colors used in beverage application. Ability to rapidly formulate to a liquid development brief and conduct tasting with key stakeholders (preferred).
  • A University Degree: Bachelor of Science (Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry) or Bachelor Engineering (Chemical) or similar.
  • A strong technical and theoretical understanding of beverage formulation and application.
  • An innovation mindset and with the ability to apply new solutions to problems.
  • A flexible working style.
  • The ability to travel interstate (as required).
