Your Impact
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor, based in our Welshpool, WA facility. Reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator, you will lead a production team to ensure safety, quality and production standards are met. This is an imperative role to align the production team with broader strategic goals, and the vision of Asahi Beverages, through a collaborative and engaging approach to leadership.
This position requires availability for rotating 12.5 hour shifts, 3 days or nights a week (inc some Saturdays).
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping our people safe by doing regular safety WALKs and inspiring operators to report hazards and incidents
- Investigating, analysing and implementing preventative actions for quality and safety incidents or near misses. Drive and collaborate in problem solving activities
- Leading, coaching, and managing a team of experienced operators by setting performance and development plans
- Taking responsibility for shift operations during production cycles
- Managing direct and indirect labour and raw material costs for the lines
- Controlling raw material inventory and working with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate replenishment with close focus on preforms
- Improving organisation effectiveness through the deployment of solutions to improve productivity and drive a performance culture
About You
You are a proactive leader who has the ability to problem solve, and motivate your team within a dynamic and fast moving environment. You will thrive in this role if you have strong mechanical aptitude, developed leadership skills, and a drive to achieve ambitious goals.
- Experience in a hands-on manufacturing, warehousing, or similar role
- Experience leading a team
- Experience working towards KPI's, and addressing any set-backs
- Experience initiating and delivering continuous improvement plans
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safe Operating Procedures and HACCP principles
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong computer skills with Office 365 framework and SAP preferred. Attention to detail and good understanding of numbers.
