Your Impact 

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all technical liquid development elements for New Product Developments (NPD) projects. This includes creating consumer preferred liquids, aligned to brand ambition, that meets cost targets and quality standards of Asahi Beverages. 

Additionally, you will deliver supply chain initiatives, explore new ingredient technology, and implement new products into multiple manufacturing sites.  You'll be working creatively, with a collaborative team, adhering to quality standards and compliance requirements to bring new beverages to fruition. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Develop leading edge product formulations with sensory competitive advantage, that delight consumers and customers
  • Leverage ingredient suppliers to explore new ingredients and technologies that offer differentiated products to consumers.  Create concept liquids that bring new opportunities to life and present these to commercial partners/ marketing.
  • Work side-by-side with and influence Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Legal and Insights/Consumer Science colleagues, to successfully deliver NPD projects, to the high-quality standard of Asahi Beverages
  • Pro-actively engage marketing, insights and regulatory to ensure all desired marketing claims defined and substantiated through use of ingredient technology. 
  • Ensure product stability over product shelf life and address any shortcomings.
  • Manage and create master data for NPD, generate accurate and fully complaint artwork briefs and approve final artwork. 
  • Generate accurate finished product specifications for NPD products and ensure smooth implementation into manufacture plant, troubleshooting any issues uncovered.
  • Deliver supply chain and value creation projects.

 

About You 

  • Degree qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Formulation Science, Bioscience, or related discipline
  • Having a background in FMCG, beverages, food manufacturing or flavour houses is advantagous
  • Experience in delivering NPD projects, driving product development to implementation into manufacturing sites.
  • Good understanding of brands and brand lead innovation.  Capable to influence brand teams and insights teams, to develop well defined deliverables and delivering to timelines.
  • Proven track record of problem solving in a complex manufacturing environment 

Experience with systems such as SAP and Hamilton Grant would be highly regarded.
