We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Coordinator within our team at Welshpool. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of daily activities across key areas such as Quality, Cost Reduction, Delivery, Safety & Environment, and Motivation. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will be critical in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence and lead teams within a dynamic environment, focused on delivering exceptional service and creating value.

 

Please note: This role requires you to work the Afternoon shift from 2pm - 10pm.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct root-cause analysis of quality failures, manage product withdrawals/recall activities, and utilize OES tools to drive quality performance.
  • Manage labor costs effectively, deliver process improvement project savings, and communicate cost impacts related to performance.
  • Oversee warehouse throughput management, optimize productivity, and ensure customer service is met through effective labor planning.
  • Lead, manage, and develop shop floor teams, ensuring adherence to performance reviews, development plans, and succession management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promote a safe workplace, and support continuous improvement of environmental management systems.

 

About You

 

You are a proactive and results-driven individual with a strong background in Warehousing. Whether you have previous experience in a similar role or are looking to step up, your ability to lead teams, work autonomously and drive operational efficiency makes you an ideal candidate. Additionally, you possess the following:

 

  • Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Ability to influence and manage change within a dynamic operational environment.
  • A keen interest in people management with strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO certification.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop.
