Your Impact

 

Reporting to the Group General Manager – Group Finance, this role is fundamental in the delivery of the Group’s internal and external reporting.
You will lead both operational and corporate accounting and will be responsible for the delivery of the Group’s external reporting, technical accounting analysis and compliance as well as maintaining the Group’s accounting control environment.

Interfacing with Japan, the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, this opportunity will give you scope to utilise your strongly developed communication skills.

As a broad thinker, you will leverage off your strong people leadership experience to build a high performing team and help shape, drive and deliver success as a team to ensure engagement through business change and BAU processes.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Lead the Group's financial accounting and reporting, including external financial reporting, along with the delivery of the Group's (including all controlled entities) financial statements and maintenance of financial data
  • Deliver key elements of the budget and forecasting process, including financing costs, consolidation, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
  • Provide technical accounting analysis and support for Asahi Beverages, including complex issues arising from business development activity, mergers and acquisitions, organisational change and change in regulatory requirements
  • Identify and deliver process efficiencies and improvements in financial close processes and controls, and reporting procedures
  • Ensure there is consistency in accounting treatment across the Australian and New Zealand business as well as working closely with the parent entity accounting team in Tokyo

 

About You

 

  • Experience leading and engaging a team in an agile environment
    Highly developed communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across the executive level
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior finance role within a large corporate environment
  • Big 4 Experience will be highly advantageous
  • The ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders and effectively communicate financial impacts and influence resolutions
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, CPA / ICAANZ
