Opportunity for a passionate Health & Safety Manager to join our Human Resources team and be responsible for implementing health and safety improvement programs across our entire Fire & Earth Ventures (F&E) Business Unit. This scope contains F&E Leadership Team (Southbank Based), F&E Sales Team, F&E Hospitality Group, F&E Craft Partner Business (Including Supply & Logistics divisions).

Your Impact

We have a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Health & Safety Manager to join our Human Resources team and be responsible for implementing health and safety improvement programs across our Fire & Earth Ventures (F&E) Business Units.

You will play an important role in the development and promotion of our safety culture and be accountable for health and safety improvement programs, management of systems, audits and reporting.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop best in class regulatory practices across the F&E business unit to ensure compliance with EHS legislation (State to state compliance is required)
  • Review and analyse health and safety performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Drive the implementation of improvement programs
  • Implement other projects as required within business, including Fatigue, Health and Wellbeing, Manual Handling, Safety Branding, etc. 
  • Develop and implement EHS system procedures and standards for key business risk areas, e.g., Contractor Management, Permit to Work, Work at Heights, Confined Spaces, Electrical Safety, Motor Vehicle Safety, etc.
  • Develop training packages on systems and processes and deliver training in both individual and group environments
  • Undertake internal environment, health, and safety audits against compliance and operational excellence requirements

About You

  • Formal qualifications in health and safety, minimum diploma level
  • Exposure to EHS management systems, ISO45001, ISO14001, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience within medium to large organisations in the planning, development and implementation of health and safety compliance programs and management systems
  • Good knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
  • Formal qualifications in training preferred
