The Role

 

We’re on the lookout for a collaborative, hardworking individual to join our Blending team, based at our Papakura manufacturing plant. This role is working on rotating shifts morning, afternoon and night – so, you’ll need to be flexible and committed to shift work, and you’ll need to have reliable transport to attend work at various shift times.

 

This role encompasses all aspects of our beverage manufacturing process – from ingredient and powder handling, syrup blending, cream production, filtration, along with blending administration and maintenance. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our blending processes run accurately, efficiently, and adhere to quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lifting & handling ingredients, including chemical handling
  • Following recipes and managing end-to-end blending processes
  • Basic quality control and food chemistry checks
  • Ensuring necessary administration is completed on time and in full
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and maintaining clear and effective communication
  • Participation in continuous improvement and efficiency drives for ever better  manufacturing

 

 

About You 

 

First and foremost, you’ll be someone who builds strong relationships and has a strong focus on delivering for your internal customers. Our blending team is a busy one, so you’ll need the ability to work under pressure and effectively manage your workload.

 

You’ll need to be someone who has high work standards, and strong attention to detail – your ability to accurately follow processes, and adhere to food safety and quality requirements, will be key requirements of the role.

 

Our blending team is a close knit team, who work together to drive maximum efficiency and collaboratively tackle problems. You’ll need to be a forward thinker, who takes a practical and pragmatic approach to your work.

 

The ‘must haves’:

  • Experience working in FMCG, ideally food or beverage manufacturing
  • The job is a physical one – so you’ll need to be able to safely lift up to 25kg, on a repeated basis
  • Experience with chemical handling
  • You’ll need to acquire a forklift licence for this role – so if you’ve already got one, that’s an advantage!
  • Basic computer literacy, including MS Word 
  • You’ll also need to hold the legal right to work in New Zealand
