Your Impact

As a site Controls & Automation Technician you will provide operational, technical and electrical expertise that deliver best in class machine reliability, enabling safety, production, environmental and quality targets to be met. You will also drive operational improvement through the evaluation and appropriate implementation of automation and process control.

The position is a critical centre piece of the Site reliability team structure and requires innovation and application of new ideas and company guidelines, to a high level of expertise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Routine maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation, PLC units and SCADA systems
  • Ensuring integrity of documentation
  • Scheduled maintenance and breakdown maintenance
  • Delivery of Maintenance Roadmap improvement plans and procedures
  • Deliver action plans based on analysis of maintenance performance reports
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Contribute to and engage with the Reliability plan to ensure maximum plant reliability and efficiency
  • High Level process problem solving
  • Condition Based Monitoring
  • Manage the implementation of manufacturing systems
  • Autonomous Maintenance Operator Coaching
  • Collaborative work focus and inter departmental partnerships focus


About you

  • Prior lean manufacturing, maintenance and reliability experience in a similar role
  • Trade Certified; Australian State Recognized Electrical License
  • Extensive PLC programming experience
  • SCADA & Networking
  • High level of knowledge of the Machine guarding and Electrical Safety Standards and Regulations.
  • A self- starter with a continuous improvement mindset and innovation focus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • LVR and CPR compliant
  • EWP and Confined Space trained an advantage
  • Forklift Competency Licence an advantage
