Your Impact


Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – Commercial Non-Alcohol, in this role you will actively influence key commercial decisions made by the National Grocery Sales Team through a combination of insightful analytical support, and provision of pro-active business partnering, ensuring that all decisions made in the Grocery channel are consistent with both budget KPI’s and business strategy.


 Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide ongoing Business Partnering financial support to the Senior Commercial Manager. Understand all key issues associated with ongoing channel performance and actively develop recommendations and embed business outcomes
  • Cross functionally drive optimal pricing outcomes for the Grocery business through the alignment of category strategy with price realisation & promotional strategies, aligning the Grocery business to Marketing and Revenue Management in the process
  • Drive the future strategic direction of Grocery price realisation through quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and mid-term strategic plan proposals.
  • Challenge the promotional pricing strategy through insightful analysis to ensure the delivery of financial rigour in maximizing value opportunities.
  • Drive the monthly and quarterly planning agenda within Grocery Sales by implementing and enforcing robust planning disciplines that support Integrated Business Planning.
  • Work constructively with the commercial team to build forecasts that are the accumulation of robust commercial initiatives by ensuring that assumptions are realistic, and by respectfully challenging Sales Management when they are not.
  • Drive commercial margin performance delivery by implementing management reports that lead to both improved understanding of profit drivers (Volume, Trade Spend, SDCs, Mix Analysis), and result in timely responses to market challenges.
  • Analyse and highlight risks to the National Account Managers with a view to driving performance improvements.


 About you


  • Bachelor Degree in the Accounting or Finance Field
  • Proven experience in a Finance role within an FMCG organisation
  • Experience providing commercial decision support to business partners and other key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business outcomes whilst managing complexity and competing interests
  • Demonstrated ability to respectfully challenge assumptions and exhibit courage when required
