In this pivotal role, the Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer will manage key initiatives to shape a secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environment that supports business growth. You’ll play a crucial part in implementing cutting-edge Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation, while supporting continuous improvement efforts. This role is all about fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing the user experience across the entire organisation. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and enhance the Azure environment for both new and existing Asahi Beverage services, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain a well-governed, highly reliable CI/CD pipeline that ensures timely deployment of all infrastructure code.
  • Oversee the Azure cloud platform, emphasizing DevOps and cloud automation.
  • Collaborate with third-party providers to enhance the current infrastructure landscape, focusing on process optimization and technology advancements.
  • Lead all Azure services initiatives, working closely with service partners to build, maintain, and optimise the Asahi Oceania IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure the effective deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of systems and services.
  • Create and maintain IT policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience and compliance with industry standards.

 

About You:

 

  • Possess 5-6 years of experience in infrastructure support and improvement activities, demonstrating a deep understanding of technical environments.
  • Have at least 2 years of practical experience with cloud-based services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Expertise in Microsoft platforms, virtualisation technologies, and supporting infrastructure services like DHCP, NTP, and DNS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a consultative approach to technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex, mission-critical, high availability environments, ensuring operational stability.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological standards, ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Creative mindset, a hunger for innovation, and passion for looking for proactive ways to support the business.
