The Role

We’re on the lookout for a committed and reliable individual to be the face of The Better Drinks Company out in the market. You’ll take ownership for The Better Drinks Company in-store execution across our stores in the Hamilton covering our Pak'N Save, New World and Woolworths stores merchandising both the chilled and grocery TBDC lines. You’ll be ensuring our brands are well-presented through effectively merchandising our products in stores, as well as engaging with our consumers in-store through leading product tastings.

The role requires early starts, cover 12 hours per week split over three days, being Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

 

On a day to day basis, you’ll work closing with our Grocery Territory Sales Managers to support in driving sales within the region – so, we’ll need you to be a team player who works collaboratively to achieve results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Merchandising and activating promotional plans with customers
  • Managing product tastings in stores, including full set up, customer engagement and driving sales
  • Stocking shelves and chillers, building product displays
  • Ensuring compliance to our sales agreements, on-shelf positioning and new product ranging
  • Delivering on negotiated incremental activity
  • Building strong relationships with customers
  • Identifying joint growth opportunities with customers

 

About You 

 

First and foremost, you’ll be someone who thrives on building strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. As the face of our business, you’ll have strong interpersonal skills, and drives positive engagements with our customers and consumers.

You’ll need to be someone who is comfortable working autonomously, has strong initiative and a proactive approach to your work. Being planned and organised is key to success in this role, so you’ll need to be able to identify your priorities and plan out how you’ll deliver on them. Finally, strong attention to detail will be what takes you from good to great in this role – you’ll actively seek out opportunities, have high work standards, and ensure our brands are executed best in class.

The ‘must haves’:

  • You’ll also need a valid NZ Driver’s Licence (restricted or above) and access to a personal vehicle to travel between stores
  • You’ll also need to hold the right to work in New Zealand
  • The job is a physical one – so you’ll need to be able to safely and comfortably lift product cases up to 15kg on a repeated basis
