This role is at the heart of our day-to-day transport operations, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective delivery planning.
As a Route Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in designing transport plans using cutting-edge software to meet safety, service, and transport expectations. Your responsibilities will include order processing, delivery and shipment creation, truck type allocation, customer time slotting, and customer service reporting. Join a team where your expertise will be vital in ensuring the seamless execution of last mile transport operations.
Please note: The successful candidate will need to be available to work from Sunday-Thursday between 10am-6pm. This is a hybrid working opportunity with 2-3 days required in the office per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Customer Interaction Centre to process urgent orders promptly.
- Manage specific customer requirements, account setups, failed orders, complaints, and missed deliveries.
- Provide feedback and support to transport companies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Process return orders and address stock availability issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate stock allocation according to customer requirements.
- Compile loads for transport planning, organising daily shipments for efficient deliveries.
- Collaborate with territory and/or account managers to optimise delivery routes.
- Coordinate booking times with customers and transport providers for achievable routings and level loading.
