Your impact

As the Manufacturing Supervisor at our Huntingwood site you will have full ownership of the manufacturing process during the afternoon shift, ensuring that business KPIs and targets are met in line with the production plan. In addition to ensuring the execution of daily activities will also be expected to identify and lead any CI projects and initiatives.

You will be responsible for the management of employees, materials and processes to deliver agreed outputs in terms of quality, cost, delivery, safety and motivation on site.


This role is looking after our night shift - 10pm - 6am

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of experienced operators by setting performance and development plans
  • Responsibility for shift operations during production cycles across the afternoon shift
  • Maintain and develop current site standards with regard to culture, teamwork and cohesion and continuous improvement strategies
  • Investigate, analyse, and implement preventative actions for quality and safety incidents or near misses
  • Manage direct and indirect labour and raw material costs for the lines
  • Act as a coach to ensure consistent drive for results
  • Lead the problem-solving route cause analysis exercises
  • Control raw material inventory and work with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate replenishment with close focus on preforms
  • Act in a hands-on manner to look for opportunities to improve overall equipment effectiveness.

 About you

  • You're Degree or Trade qualified, with strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safe Operating Procedures and HACCP principles
  • You’re a strong leader with demonstrated experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment (or similar)
  • You can demonstrate your ability to build an engaged team through coaching and mentoring employees and ensuring outstanding team results
  • You’re a fluid and highly effective communicator and know how to set expectations and send the right messages, while organising a large group of skilled operators and quality employees
  • Good at problem solving with strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
