About the Opportunity  


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse supervisor to join the team at Laverton. You will be responsible for leading a team of up to 10 to ensure the efficient operations of the finished goods warehouse to achieve delivery targets as well as broader business objectives.

You will play a key role in driving operational process improvements and cost savings initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellence in Customer Service through coordination of warehousing activities
  • Work jointly with manufacturing and Inventory Lead on optimum cycle times, batch sizes, maintenance shutdowns
  • Relationship management for key Supply Chain partners (customers, suppliers and co-packers) to deliver maximum value (win / win outcomes)
  • Relationship management of key internal partners such as Commercial and Manufacturing
  • Work collaboratively with the DC functional leads
  • Foster a culture of zero tolerance for workplace injuries, and visible ownership of EH&S to ensure staff adhere to the site Environmental and Health & Safety Management System to meet legislative and company standards
  • Drive a program of continuous improvement and cost reduction
  • Optimise major cost drivers for the function, through development and use of effective control reports (variance analysis)
  • Ensure effective employee development tools, training, coaching, 1:1’s, succession, recruitment and performance tools are in place and being fully utilized
  • Effective use of Project Management disciplines and tools


 About You

  • Prior experience in a similar role; either within FMCG or Consumer Goods environment
  • Microsoft Dynamics systems experience
  • Excellent communication, influencing and change management skills, with management and shop floor personnel
  • Demonstrated experience initiating and delivering continuous improvement projects
  • Degree qualifications in Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline
  • Previous leadership experience in a unionised environment will be highly regarded
