Your Impact

Based at our Papakura manufacturing site but with full responsibility for our Henderson DC and corporate HO in Parnell, there’s ample opportunity for a proactive H&S professional to make their mark.

 

Reporting through to the GM Operations in a key cross functional role, you’ll utilise your passion and deep understanding of Health, Safety & Environment to lead and deliver best practice H&S across the NZ business and be our biggest champion for a deeply embedded strong and proactive safety culture.

  • Overseeing and driving and the NZ HSE strategy through delivering identified practices, programmes and procedures
  • Provision of expert advice around risk management, mitigation and reduction
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, training and prevention within the business
  • Ensuring we achieve and succeed compliance requirements as well as monitoring our sustainable environmental performance

 

Please note this role is based in Papakura but will require travel to Henderson and Parnell weekly (1 day per fortnight minimum).

 

About You

We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of H&S legislation within the NZ environment and the ability to proactively identify opportunities for change. With that in hand, you’ll also need to be a natural communication, able to adjust and adapt your approach to your audience and who interacts well with a variety of stakeholders.

 

Sound like you? Other key success enablers include:

  • A relevant qualification within H&S to back up your hands-on experience
  • Ideally experienced in the world of manufacturing and/or supply chain, or else come from a similar high-risk field such as civil/construction
  • Prior hands on experience working with safety and quality management systems
