About the Opportunity  

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Inventory Controller to ensure that finished goods warehouse inventory is accurate for our new Heathwood Distribution Centre site.

Your well-developed communication skills will enable you to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the objective of being recognised by our customers as delivering excellence in service and creating value.

A natural problem-solver, you are process driven who has the ability to influence your peers to drive continuous improvements. You’re proactive and will take steps to prevent actions with regard to finished inventory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and leading the inventory policy at site level
  • Ensuring stock control, and process compliance in relation to Inventory Management
  • Maintaining SAP Warehouse Management housekeeping requirements
  • Co-ordinate CIC and Sales Team customer needs via appropriate channels
  • Monitor Compliance Activities (HACCP, ISO9001, GMP, Internal & External Requirements)
  • Comply with Customs and Excise requirements (where relevant)
  • Participate in, and conduct Root- Cause Analysis activities
  • Manage the Stock Gains & Losses account within DC Cost Centre
  • Ensure all SAP transactions are completed appropriately, and on time
  • Coordinate Daily, Weekly, Monthly Cycle Counts, and Inventory Control routines for stock rotation and Quality Control
  • Verify, and oversee the generation of Customer credits/claims within a timely manner
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives with best practice inventory methodology


About You

  • Experience in an inventory control position within a medium to large size FMCG organisation
  • A qualification in logistics or related business discipline (required)
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience in best practice inventory methodology practices
  • Team focused with the ability to run small group activities and train team members in inventory policy and processes
  • A qualification in an accounting discipline would be highly advantageous
  • A solid understanding of warehouse operations activities and MHE materials handling equipment
  • Sound SAP knowledge including SAP based warehouse management systems
  • Solid computer skills including Excel and other MS Office suites
