About the Position  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics & Inventory Manager – QLD, to manage all logistics associated with the storage and movement of equipment which includes the supply and refurbishment of spare parts and capital equipment inventories from procurement to asset disposal. You will accurately maintain the SAP database to capture all equipment procurement, relocations and associated costs.

This is a leadership role that will see you manage the logistics support team and supply chain partners to ensure the supply of spare parts and equipment meets with company standards and market demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the movement of all capital equipment inventory in a timely and efficient manner to support field service, installation and refurbishment activities
  • Ensure all new capital equipment is asset tagged promptly following receipt and entered into SAP database
  • Manage the performance of equipment transport providers to maintain appropriate service levels and contain costs within budget
  • Ensure all equipment is electrically tested and tagged before dispatch from the external refurbishment providers’ premises
  • Adjust inventory holdings based on movement analysis to reduce days holding and adequately support operation
  • Analyse usage rates nationally for static and slow moving items and transfer accordingly
  • Lead and manage the logistics support team    
  • Ensure the workplace is monitored for hazards and that any hazards are reported immediately to a supervisor or Safety Offic         

About You

  • Relevant qualification in: supply chain, logistics or inventory management disciplines 
  • Proven experience and understanding of logistics and inventory management 
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP
  • Experience in managing direct reports and external supply chain partners
  • Understanding of maintenance and equipment refurbishment principles
