About the Position
We have great opportunities for Technician's to join us during a period of technological innovation and advanced automation in manufacturing at our Huntingwood site.

We are currently in the process of implementing a new water line and we are searching for Technicians who can coordinate and drive optimisation of automated end to end production processes. You will have an advanced ability to problem solve using predictive analytics and be able to pre-empt and intervene when equipment calls for action, including asset care and maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Management of end to end processes and equipment performance on the line
  • Drives continuous improvement activities across the line
  • Undertakes size and product changes
  • Optimizes process testing and in specification product
  • Completes process area checks and interacts with digital process data collection, monitoring and analysis
  • Takes responsibility for defect identification, corrective and preventative maintenance and engages in predicative analytics
  • Plans in detail all indirect hours including start up, CIP, asset care, shut downs and corrective maintenance
  • Critical thinking and solving technical electrical or mechanical problems
  • Conducts effective problem solving in real time & proactively acts to resolve trending issues
  • Proactively collects, monitors and analyses  data to conduct  trending fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Conducts testing and calibration activities associated with the line & related process equipment, this includes monitoring the quality of incoming raw materials
  • Manage the team/s on a specified line / shift and educates, coaches, and guides team members to ensure that they have the ability to deliver results and achieve their objectives.
  • Actively participates in development work & projects
  • Performs internal auditing
  • Undertakes regular technical capability development including PLC programming
  • Compliance to production plan and quality standards
  • Maintains company compliance standards including GMP and HACCP 
  • Performs daily process area cleaning to maintain company compliance, GMP and HACCP standards


About You
You will have a Mechatronics background which will combine qualifications and skills including electrical, mechanical engineering electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, systems engineering and control engineering. As technology advances, the subfields of engineering multiply and adapt.  This requires a deep understanding of performance analysis and design of complex equipment including robotics. 

  • Minimum Trade Certificate (electrical/electronic/mechanical) or relevant qualification
  • Additional qualifications in a technical field such as Cert III Engineering – Technical and/or in Manufacturing Technology is preferred
  • Ability to program, modify and improve PLCs is preferable
  • An strong desire to to develop further technical capability is mandatory
  • Lean Manufacturing industry experience is required
  • Continuous improvement experience is highly advantageous
  • Digital documentation including work instructions, maintenance systems, preventative maintenance planning
  • Advanced computer skills
  • The ability to work independently
  • Experience training other team members
