About the Position
We have a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join us on our continuous improvement journey at Huntingwood. This position is a Maternity Leave contract until December 2017 but with the potential to move into other opportunities. It is on the day shift 6am-2pm over 5 days. In the manufacturing supervisors position you will develop and lead a high performing team to achieve outstanding results. You will deliver these results through the management of employees, materials and processes and meet agreed outputs in terms of quality, cost, delivery, safety and motivation for the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and manage a high performing team to deliver results
  • Facilitate the delivery of training and development plans for team members, to ensure team effectiveness
  • Optimise production performance and processes on the line to ensure that they are in accordance with the production plan
  • Identify, implement and drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Provide line relief activities including machine operation tasks to maintain the continuous operation of the line
  • Lead team problem solving and root cause analysis exercises
  • Manage direct and indirect labour and raw material costs for the lines
  • Accountable for the quality of product / process within assigned work areas and act appropriately to rectify issues as identified
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements

About You

  • Degree or trade qualified, with strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Operating Procedures and HACCP principles
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an FMCG lean manufacturing environment (or similar)
  • A strong track record of leading an engaged team and achieving results through coaching and mentoring
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodology
  • A forklift ticket is essential
  • Learning agility and senior leadership potential
